Built around your pace, your story, and your goals.
Reclaiming Employment courses are designed using Universal Design for Learning principles. They are self-paced, allowing users to access content in any order and pause or replay materials.
-
Instructional Expertise
Our course development process was designed and overseen by Dr. Pat Nemec, a former instructor of psychiatric rehabilitation at Boston University.
Each course is broken down into 4–6 modules that include narrated PowerPoint lectures and videos.
-
Centering Lived Experience
Our course content centers personal stories and was created by people with lived experience - not robots - who have started and run their own businesses.
All courses include personal stories to facilitate engagement.
-
Accessible, Applied Learning
Each lesson includes hands on worksheets to explore your ideas and apply the concepts taught in the course.
Courses include transcripts, visual descriptions, and high-contrast graphics for improved accessibility.
-
Emotional and Logistical Support
We designed our materials to address both the emotional and logistical ups and downs of self-employment.
Applied Learning that Centers Lived Experience
The REcoach program is designed around our core curriculum, "10 Weeks to a Business Plan."
